I. Introduction to the subjects and majors of the experimental class
Founded in 1923, the chemistry major of Henan University has a history of more than 90 years. In 2010, it was rated as a national characteristic major, and in 2019, it was approved as a national first-class major construction site. Adhering to the school motto of "Mingde Xinmin, Ending in perfection" of Henan University, teachers and students majoring in chemistry have made great progress in personnel training, scientific research, discipline construction, social service, laboratory construction and other aspects.
At present, there are 60 teachers in this major, including 1 specially invited professor of Henan Province, 10 talents of the fourth level, Yellow River scholars, university specially invited professors and so on. There are 20 professors, 21 associate professors and 44 ph. D. degree holders. The proportion of professional teachers with senior titles accounts for 78.8% of the total number of professional teachers, and the number of doctorate recipients accounts for 80.4%. At present, there are 20 teachers with overseas background and experience, and the proportion of overseas and overseas personnel is as high as 38.5%.
Construction has "nano hybrid material application technology national united engineering research center" the state-level scientific research platform, has "Polyoxometalates key laboratory in henan province", "energy waste resources in henan province engineering technology research center", "flame retardant and functional materials engineering laboratory in henan province", "industrial water recycle engineering technology research center of henan province" and so on a number of distinctive, showing the strength of provincial scientific research platform.
It has a series of national and provincial quality courses such as "Close to Chemistry", "Spectrum Analysis" and "Analytical Chemistry". It has a post-doctoral research station of first-level chemistry, a doctoral program of first-level chemistry, a master's program of first-level chemistry, a master's program of course teaching (chemistry), and a master's program of environmental science.
In the past five years, he has compiled 23 teaching materials, won 52 teaching reform projects and achievements, 42 teaching achievement awards, 18 provincial-level or above, and published 65 teaching reform papers. In terms of scientific research, it has undertaken 28 major/key projects at the national and provincial levels, 13 national natural Science funds under research, and more than 60 other projects. It has won many scientific research awards, published more than 300 papers included in SCI and EI, and published relevant research results in J. Am. Chem. Soc., Chem.Com Mun. And other international famous publications, by the domestic and foreign counterparts of the high attention.
After nearly 90 years of development, the major of chemistry has achieved fruitful results in education and teaching.
II. Enrollment plan
In order to carry out the talent training concept of elite education, 20 students are planned to enroll at present.
