Applied chemistry speciality is a combination of science and technology which can be awarded the degree of science and engineering. This specialized raise has the chemical basic theory, basic knowledge in strong experimental skills, can in scientific research institutions, colleges and universities and enterprises and institutions, engaged in scientific research, teaching and management work of the senior specialized talents. This specialty was awarded as provincial characteristics in 2007. Currently, this specialty contains more than 30 teachers, include 2 distinguished professors, 5 doctoral supervisors and 18 full professors , over 55 percent of teachers with doctoral degrees, and nearly 80 percent of teachers with master's degrees.

Training requirements

Students of this specialty mainly study the basic knowledge of chemistry, the basic theory,basic skills and related engineering knowledge, is the basic research and scientific experiment training, has good scientific literacy, have use knowledge and experimental skills in applied research, technology development and technology management of the basic skills.
